Universal Orlando has announced a star-studded lineup for the park’s 2018 Mardi Gras celebration, according to a news release.
Macklemore, Sean Paul and Fifth Harmony are among 13 headliners expected to perform during the event, which is scheduled to take place from February 3 to April 7. The artists will perform in the park’s music plaza, the news release said.
Inspired by the traditional Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans, Universal’s celebration will feature Cajun-style cuisine, a parade and New Orleans bands. Other well-known artists performing during the event are Andy Grammer, Fitz and the Tantrums and Phillip Phillips.
The parade’s theme – constellations – will be evident in 12 hand-crafted floats that will roll through the park’s grounds during the night. Universal will also incorporate six new floats into the Mardi Gras parade: Keep an eye out for the Taurus, Virgo and Serpentarius if you go.
Entry to the Mardi Gras celebration is included with regular park admission or an annual pass.
