Maluma to Make Super Bowl Debut on Sunday

It may not be a live performance at half-time but for Colombian reggaeton superstar, Maluma making an appearance in a commercial spot during United States' biggest sports event of the year is simply muy bueno!

The singer who whose real name is Juan Luis Londoño, will appear in a Michelob Ultra commercial spot on Sunday February 3rd during the broadcast of Super Bowl LIII, a first-ever for the music star.

“I’m so proud to represent my Latin culture during my first-ever Super Bowl commercial,” Maluma said. “That’s something I’ve always dreamed about and now it’s becoming a reality.”

The singer who hails from Medellin is known all over the world for his Reggaeton superhits and, according to Billboard Magazine, the singer is slowly making his presence felt in the American market and this commercial spot with Michelob Ultra is proof that the singer is definitely taking his American breakthrough to the next level.

“I feel very grateful because I feel like the doors are opening right now for my culture in different ways,” said Maluma. “The Super Bowl commercial is opening more doors for my culture and I feel very proud to have the Latin flag with me and tell the world that we can conquer the world too.”

This morning Maluma took to his Instagram account and shared a photo where he is seen celebrating this important milestone complete a blue Super Bowl cake, Moet champagne and some other goodies.

In his post, Maluma wrote, “Super Bowl here we go!” and it expresses Maluma’s excitement in being able to take part in America’s favorite pass time for the first time in his career and to celebrate his new partnership with Michelob Ultra.
