When the homeowner went to check out the noise, he confronted Delice, who was completely naked and trying to choke the dog, police said.

Delice jumped on the homeowner, who was able to pull out a weapon and shoot the nude man in the leg and hold him until officers arrived, police said.

Police said the shooting appears to be justified.

Delice was hospitalized and later booked into jail, records showed. It's unknown whether he has an attorney.
