A man was arrested for entering a secured area of the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport with a loaded gun in his carry-on bag, the Broward Sheriff Office's said.
Fausto Francisco Santo Perez, 67, was arrested Thursday, after he entered a Transportation Security Administration checkpoint with the gun in the bag, the complaint affidavit said.
Perez forgot he that the gun was in the bag, the affidavit said.
He faces a charge of carrying a concealed firearm inside a "sterile" area of the airport, the affidavit said.
Online jail records show there was an immigration hold for Perez.
It wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney.
