Man Arrested For Shooting At Family: Cops

Phillip Castillo faces six counts of premeditated attempted murder.

A man was arrested for shooting at a woman and five of her relatives outside of their home, police said.

Phillip Castillo, 30, was arrested Wednesday in Miami and held on no bond for six counts of premeditated attempted murder. He also faces a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On March 10, Castillo argued with the woman at a Walgreens and told her that he would drive by her home and “shoot it up,” according to a police report.

It wasn't immediately known what the relationship was between Castillo and the woman.

The woman was outside with her family when she saw Castillo driving his blue Nissan Maxima, according to the report.

The woman immediately told three kids, her mother and her husband to get down on the floor.

The man fired several shots at them, the report said. The woman said Castillo was wearing the same hat he wore during their argument at the store.

She said her family was outside because they were getting into a vehicle to drive to a safe residence for the night.

Two days later the family woke up to more gunfire into the house. A neighbor told the victim that a silver vehicle fled the scene, one the victim said could be Castillo’s friend’s car.
