Man Fondled Himself While Watching Kids Play at Local Parks

Man had toys, candy and children's books inside his car

Fort Lauderdale Police have arrested a man who investigators claim stalked children at local parks.

William Waldman, 66, was charged with lewd and lascivious exhibition and trespassing Thursday after cops caught him fondling himself near a playground filled with children.

Police said Waldman was more than just an observer. He also approached children and asked them questions about school.

Waldman was originally stopped on Jan. 22 at George English Park after park rangers spotted him inside a running vehicle. As they approached they noticed Waldman "fondling his male genitals in a sexual manner."

Inside the car were children's toys, books and candy.

But Waldman was released from jail and made his way to a different park Thursday.

Cops found him at Holiday Park and arrested him for trespassing.

The disturbing trend has detectives asking the public to contact them if they have any more information on Waldman and his interaction with children.

If anyone has any further information regarding Waldman, contact 954-828-5964 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
