Man Arrested With Help From TV Show Gets Life Sentence

A southwest Florida man who was arrested following an investigation involving a cold-case television show has been sentenced to life in prison for killing his wife.

The News-Press reports that Kultar Goraya was sentenced Tuesday. He was convicted in September of second-degree murder.

Fort Myers police arrested Goraya last January, more than seven years after his wife, Rupinder, was reported missing by coworkers.

Officials say Goraya's arrest came after local detectives worked with a team from the TNT television show "Cold Justice.'' Investigators from the show worked for weeks with detectives while filming.

Rupinder Goraya was reported missing in October 2007, and her body was never found. Months earlier, Kultar Goraya was arrested by Lee County deputies on a domestic violence charge.
