Man Arrested for Armed Robbery on Miami Beach

One of the men police say is responsible for the armed robbery of three people on Miami Beach is behind bars.

James Ferrer is being held with no bond for the robbery of three victims on Bay Drive on May 15.

According to the arrest report Ferrer and a co-defendant, Ivan Corujo asked the victims to lay down on the ground. Then, detectives say Ferrer and Corujo took the victim's purses, wallets and cell phones. The two men then fled on foot down Bay Drive.

Detectives say they had to take the victims to the hospital to be treated for cuts to their faces and upper bodies. Detectives found a bullet casing at the scene. Later the victims identified Ferrer from police photographs. Detectives picked him up at his mother's house and took him to jail.

Police are still looking to arrest Ferrer's alleged accomplice, Ivan Corujo.
