Two suspects were arrested in relation to the theft of a woman's purse at a gas station on Monday, officials said.

Sigmund Brown, 18, was arrested and charged Friday for burgulary and grand theft. A minor accomplice was also arrested, police said.

The theft occurred at a BP Gas Station located at 2465 Southwest 17th Avenue.

According to police, the two suspects exited the gas station and entered a Nissan Altima that was parked at the gas pump. The driver of the Nissan then drove to another pump and pulled up next to where the victim, Mrs. Raquel Alvero was pumping gas in her vehicle. Brown then exited the Nissan, opened the victim’s passenger door and stole her purse.

The other suspect's charges are unknown at this time.
