Anthony Duran Mc Bride, 25, was arrested Wednesday on kidnapping and sexual battery charges, Coral Springs Police said

A man accused of kidnapping a 15-year-old girl and sexually battering her in an abandoned apartment in Coral Springs in 2017 has been arrested, officials said Thursday.

Anthony Duran Mc Bride, 25, was arrested Wednesday on kidnapping and sexual battery charges, Coral Springs Police said.

Police said the girl was riding a Broward County Transit bus home from high school the afternoon of Sept. 5, 2017, when she was forced off the bus by an unknown man, who made her get into a nearby car.

The man took her to an abandoned apartment in Coral Springs where he sexually battered her, police said. He later dropped her off in a nearby parking lot.

Police said the girl was later able to identify Mc Bride in a photo lineup, according to an arrest report.

According to the report, Mc Bride was investigated in 2015 in a sexual battery of a 15-year-old girl in Coral Springs, but police said the victim became uncooperative and the case didn't move forward.

In 2014, Mc Bride was investigated for an armed sexual battery of a 16-year-old girl in Fort Lauderdale, the report said.

Mc Bride was booked into jail, where he remained held without bond Thursday. Attorney information wasn't available.

Police are asking anyone with information on the 2017 case or any other potential victims to call them at 954-346-1789.
