Man Arrested on Charges of Forcing Woman Into Prostitution in Miami Beach

Miami Beach Police arrested a man they say was involved in human trafficking by forcing a woman into prostitution.

Justin Fossett was arrested Tuesday night on several charges, including trafficking and prostitution. The 23-year-old was being held without bond on a previous charge pending a court appearance.

According to police, undercover officers arrested a woman as part of a prostitution sting earlier in the day after responding to an ad placed on a website. After finding a receipt with Fossett’s name in the room, the woman said she had been introduced to him by a separate woman and travelled to Miami to work for him as well.

The woman arrested also said that both her and Fossett had been arrested last month on prostitution charges. She said Fossett forced her to collect a daily quota of $1,100 and that she was afraid of him because of his violent temper.

When Fossett arrived back at the room, he said the woman was his girlfriend and knew she was involved in prostitution. Officers arrested Fossett as well and transported both to jail.

Fossett was ordered held on $15,000 bond Wednesday. Attorney information wasn't available.
