Miami Police are searching for a man they say tried to abduct a young girl as she was walking home from summer camp.
Officers say they received a 911 call Tuesday afternoon about the attempted abduction near Northwest 4th Avenue and 75th Street, where the man allegedly tried to lure the seven-year-old into his car with candy.
The child was able to escape unhurt as detectives continue to look for the man involved.
"My sister was scared; she didn't know what to do, so she started running home," the victim's sister told NBC 6.
Officials say the suspect was a white man wearing a ski mask and gloves while sitting inside of a red sedan. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami Police or Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
