A situation that paralyzed a Hialeah neighborhood for hours late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning has come to a close after authorities swarmed a home in response to a man barricaded inside.
Officers went to serve a court order to a home in the area of East 6th Avenue and West 11th Street, according to Hialeah Police. Once the man saw police, he barricaded himself inside the home and refused to open the door.
SWAT units were called out to the scene as officers attempted to speak with the man and NBC 6 cameras caught people running from the home for safety.
In the early hours Wednesday morning, officers were able to bring the man out safely and cleared the scene. No one else was inside the home at the time.
