A man who barricaded himself and his two-year-old child inside his Dania Beach home after a domestic dispute Monday morning was apprehended, deputies said.
The man allegedly bit a woman before locking himself and the child inside the home at 4722 SW 39th Ave., according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said the scene was clear and the child was safe. The man was being taken to Broward Health Medical Center to be treated for superficial stab wounds, but officials said it was unknown how he obtained them. Officials said the man had possibly been armed with a knife.
Meanwhile, the woman was treated for superficial wounds by Broward Sheriff's Fire Rescue.
Officials have not yet identified the man and the woman involved. It is unclear what started the dispute.
