Man Called to Identify Himself After Release of Burglary Video: BSO

A man faces charges after he called the Broward Sheriff’s Office to say he was one of three men caught on surveillance video during an alleged burglary at a Southwest Ranches home in 2011, authorities said.

The video showed Andres Amador and three other men wearing masks, gloves and possibly a police badge, sheriff's office said.

But Amador told authorities he was just making a delivery, not committing a burglary.

The three men set off the alarm and left, but later returned to break in, stealing jewelry and cash, sheriff's office said.

Amador has been charged with attempted armed burglary. It was not immediately known if he had an attorney.
