A man is facing charges in a stabbing at a Miami Metromover station while police are trying to determine if he was involved in a second stabbing at a separate Metromover station not far away.
Christopher Edward Coleman, 27, was arrested on charges including aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and carrying a concealed weapon in the Friday afternoon stabbing at the 11th Street station, an arrest report said.
According to the report, a witness said they saw Coleman pacing back and forth and talking to himself before he started shouting racial slurs to two women who were speaking in Spanish on the Metromover.
That's when the stabbing victim intervened, and Coleman told him "what are you going to do about it," the report said.
When the Metromover arrived at the station, the victim pushed Coleman out of the mover, and Coleman grabbed a knife and stabbed him multiple times, the report said. Coleman lost his footing, fell onto the Metromover tracks, and fled the scene.
The victim suffered multiple injuries including stab wounds.
On Saturday, Coleman was located and arrested. An officer found a pocket knife Coleman had concealed in his crotch area, the report said.

The stabbing happened around the same time a second person was stabbed at the Metromover station near the Stephen P. Clark Government Center at 111 Northwest 1st Street. According to a GoFundMe, the victim of that attack, Miguel Columna, was stabbed in the neck and had his jugular vein cut.
Miami-Dade Police are investigating both stabbings as separate incidents, but are looking into the possibility that Coleman was involved in both.
Coleman was being held on $21,000 bond Monday, jail records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
