Man Complains About Free Cookie, Robs Subway in Oakland Park

A man who complained about a free cookie given to him at Subway, returned to the restaurant and robbed it, according to Broward Sheriff's Office.

Security cameras captured the man on Sept. 4 at the fast food restaurant located at 4911 North Andrews Avenue in Oakland Park.

Deputies said the suspect locked the front door behind him, before walking over to the cashier, alleging to have a gun and demanding money.

The cashier handed over the register's drawer and he stormed out of the store.

Police said the same man visited the Subway a half hour before. He had waited in line for service and the cashier gave him a free cookie. He returned 30 minutes later to complain about the free cookie at which point he robbed the restaurant.

The suspect was wearing a blue hoodie sweatshirt, dark or black pants and sneakers.
