A man who was pulled from his SUV after it went into a canal in Deerfield Beach Wednesday has died.
The incident happened in the 3600 block of Southwest 10th Street, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.
Deputies and fire rescue workers broke windows on the SUV and pulled the man from the submerged car and he was taken to Broward Health North in critical condition, officials said.
He later died at the hospital. Authorities identified him as 45-year-old Kevin Craton, of Palm Beach Gardens.
The incident remains under investigation.
