A 19-foot cabin cruiser caught fire at a fuel dock

A man was critically injured after a 19-foot boat caught fire at a fuel dock in Dania Beach Sunday, authorities said.

The blaze occurred when the cabin cruiser was at a dock at the Harbour Towne Marina at 801 NE 3rd St., Broward Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion said in a statement. The BSO was called about the incident at about 1:30 p.m.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue took the injured man to Memorial Regional Hospital before he was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital, she said.

Fire Rescue also took a a minor who had minor burns to Memorial Regional.

Three People Rescued From Boat Fire Off Miami Beach

No other injuries were reported and the fire, which was contained to the boat, has been extinguished. The cause of the fire will be investigated, Concepcion said.
