Man in Critical Condition After Being Shot in the Face in Opa-Locka

A man is in critical condition after being shot in the face in Opa-Locka, police said.

According to Opa-Locka police, the incident happened at the 13000 block of Northwest 27th Avenue.

The victim, who was later identified  as 44-year-old Roberto Cardenas, was airlifted to the hospital.

Police are now treating the incident as an attempted homicide and is being investigated by Miami-Dade Police.

No arrests have been made. Police are unsure of a motive at this time.
