A man was arrested for fondling two children who live in his Miami neighborhood, Miami-Dade Police said Friday.
Christopher Michael Mora, 27, faces two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child, authorities said. Online records showed he was being held without bond Friday.
It wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney.
He befriended the two victims, ages 6 and 7, and engaged them in conversation at where he fondled their genitals over their clothing, police said.
Miami-Dade Police spokeswoman Aida Fina-Milian said the incident happened Sept. 8 at a community pool in the area of SW 162nd Avenue and SW 100th Street.
“Where he approached two children, one boy of seven years old and a girl that was six years old, and basically fondled them on top of their bathing suits," she said.
Police said he has a history of preying on children and is currently on probation.
