Man Injured, Another Questioned After NW Miami-Dade Shooting

One man was hospitalized and another was questioned and arrested after police said there was an argument and a shooting in northwest Miami-Dade Monday afternoon.

Miami-Dade Police said the two men got into the argument in the 3600 block of Northwest 35th Avenue. During the argument one man pulled out a gun and shot the other in the abdomen, police said.

The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he was in critical condition and undergoing surgery. The man who pulled the trigger, 61-year-old Franklin Corrales, was arrested on a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon but has not been charged yet in the shooting. 

The name of the victim has not been released.
