Man Killed After SUV Collides With Motorcycle in SW Miami-Dade

A man in Southwest Miami-Dade was killed after police say the motorcycle he was riding on was struck by a SUV late Monday morning.

Miami-Dade Police say the crash occurred just before 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Southwest 115th Street and 137th Avenue.

According to their preliminary investigation, MDPD detectives say the victim – described as being in his mid-20s – was traveling south when the SUV driven by a woman in her late 60s was making a left turn onto 115th Street and the two collided.

The victim died at the scene while the driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Officers have not said if any charges will be filled in the case.

Both directions of SW 137th Avenue remain closed between 112th Street and 120th Street at this time.
