A mother is sharing her pain after her son was killed in an ambush-style attack.
“They need to pay for what they did because they didn’t have to kill him. He didn’t do nothing to them. It’s not like they were in a fight or something. He didn’t do anything. He was innocent so they shouldn’t have done that, they shouldn’t have killed my son,” said Helen Fox, the victim’s mother.
Fox is spending the first week of the New Year mourning her murdered son.
“My heart is very heavy because Tony is the one that’s just like me. Two big dimples, big smile, beautiful teeth. You know, he just was a sweetheart – I won’t see him again,” said Fox.
49-year-old Tony Conway ambushed by three teenagers. Detectives say two girls and a boy broke into his Miami-Dade home and waited for his return. When Conway showed up, they robbed him and shot him in the stomach.
“They need to get just what they deserve,” said Fox. “They didn’t have to do that, he didn’t bother them.”
Fox will be planning her son’s funeral this weekend.
