Armed Man Possibly Linked to String of Robberies: BSO

An armed robber is on the loose and may be responsible for several recent gas station robberies in Broward County, according to BSO deputies.

The most recent robbery occurred at a 7-Eleven located at 2391 North Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach.

Police said two males in dark clothing and masks entered the gas station just after 5 a.m. on Monday. One of the suspects waved a gun and demanded money from the store clerk.

Witnesses described one of the suspects as a tall, thin white male, and he appears to be the same person caught on surveillance camera committing similar crimes at a BP station in Pembroke Pines last Tuesday, as well as another 7-Eleven in Davie last Wednesday.

Surveillance footage also showed a two-tone vehicle which may have been involved. That vehicle was in the parking lot at the same time of the crime.

Three agencies are working to track down the suspect.

"Our robbery detectives are cooperating with Pembroke Pines PD and Davie PD because we have had similar incidents," said Keyla Concepcion with BSO.

Police said there are two reasons why they believe this is the same man. One is the gunman always carries the gun in his left hand and it's always a Caucasian male.
