Man Robs 2 Miami-Dade Banks on Same Street Hours Apart: FBI

The FBI is searching for a thief who robbed two banks along the same street in Miami-Dade Thursday.

The first robbery happened just before 11 a.m. at the Bank of America at 1313 Northwest 36th Street in Miami. Officials said the man demanded money from an employee and fled.

Less than two hours later, just before 12:30 p.m., the same suspect robbed the Wells Fargo at 4299 Northwest 36th Street in Miami Springs, about four miles down the road from the earlier robbery.

FBI officials didn't release the amount of money taken in either robbery.

Surveillance photos showed the suspect wearing the same dark hat and outfit in both robberies. The man may have also robbed the same Bank of America back in April, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 754-703-2000.
