Police said they are looking for a male suspect who robbed two elderly ladies outside a grocery store, leaving one of them badly injured last Thursday.
The elderly sisters, 97 and 85, were getting on a bus at the Publix shopping center at 9886 Glades Road in Boca Raton when the suspect approached them from behind, snatching the victim’s purse away, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.
As a result, the two women, one in a wheelchair, fell over, leaving one of them hospitalized with two broken ribs, the sheriff's office said.
The white male suspect, who was wearing a black T-shirt and shorts, was seen riding a Razor scooter in the Publix in Boca Raton and has brown curly hair.
Authorities ask anyone who can identify the suspect to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
