Man Shot, Climbs Roof to Escape Attackers

Man dies after being shot at in North Miami

A man who ran to a rooftop to escape two men shooting at him has died, authorities said Monday.

Siego Sergeo Brisson, 30, was rushed to the hospital Monday after he was found on top of a North Miami home with a gunshot wound, North Miami Police said.

The incident happened in the 1200 block of Northwest 121st Street around 10 a.m.

According to police, Brisson was shot on the ground and somehow managed to climb onto the roof of a home as the shooters fled the scene.

Brisson was airlifted by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation, police said.

"We don't know the motive. We don't know if they knew each other," North Miami Maj. Neal Cuevas said.

Neighbors said the shoooting was a shocker for such a quiet area.

“Nothing like this has happened in 23 years that I have lived in this neighborhood,” said Willy Knight, who lives two houses down from where the incident took place.

Police said the suspects fled in a silver four-door Ford Taurus with dark tinted windows. They're asking anyone with information to call Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
