An altercation between two males who had just exited a Broward County bus led to a fatal shooting early Thursday, and police in Plantation are looking for the suspect.
Police were called to the 700 block of North State Road 7 in reference to a shooting Thursday morning around 6:15 a.m.
According to police, two males who had just exited a Broward County Transit Bus at that stop became involved in an altercation. The details of that altercation are not immediately known.
One of the males shot the other male several times. The victim, 27-year-old Simeon Anthony Smith of Fort Lauderdale, was transported to Broward Health where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators are looking for other passengers who were on the Broward County Bus #503 Route 18 from the Golden Glades at 6:10 a.m. Thursday morning who may be able to provide information in their investigation.
