A man was shot multiple times in North Miami early Thursday morning, according to police.
The man, whose identity was unknown, was shot at Northwest 128th Street and 8th Avenue around 1:30 a.m., according to officials.
He was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital, but police have not yet released his condition.
"This never happened before," said Granville Mattison, who lives down the street from the scene. "It shocked me when I pulled up."
Video footage shows police conducting an officer coming out of a manhole in an apparent underground investigation. It appears the officer later pulls what looks like a gun out of the drain.
Police have not named a suspect or released further details of the investigation.
