Man Shot Video of Underage Female Showering: Miami-Dade Police

Erwin Rodrigo Marchant is being held on no bond

A judge held a 42-year-old man on no bond after police arrested him for shooting video of an underage female showering.

Erwin Rodrigo Marchant faces eight counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child, online Miami-Dade Corrections Records say.

A Miami-Dade Police detective said in an arrest affidavit that he went to Marchant’s workplace, at the Florida Power & Light service center in west Miami-Dade, where he viewed four DVDs belonging to Marchant.

Two of them contained child pornography. In the first, titled “Front Toilet” and recorded in 2008, the victim is seen entering a bathroom on six occasions, undressing and going into the shower. She’s then seen leaving the shower and getting dressed, the affidavit said.

In the second DVD, the victim is seen showering two different times, according to the affidavit.

The victim, who is now 17, said she was unaware that Marchant was recording her, the affidavit said.

Marchant’s face is seen in a close-up shot on the third DVD as he’s cleaning the camera lens, the affidavit said.

A judge ordered Marchant to stay away from the victim and to not contact her in bond court on Wednesday.

He also faces two counts of sexual battery on a minor for a separate case, according to online jail records.

It was not immediately known if Marchant has an attorney, and no one answered the door at his Pembroke Pines home Wednesday.
