Sunrise Police are looking for a man who attacked another man with a hammer in a Walmart parking lot.
The attack happened Dec. 28 in the parking lot of the store at 12555 W. Sunrise Boulevard and was captured on video, police said Tuesday.
The video shows the suspect get out of a black Lexus with a hammer and approach the victim, swinging the hammer and hitting the victim, police said.
Police said the suspect tried to hit the victim again but the victim was able to deflect the strike.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 5-foot-11, with a slim build, short black hair and a small goatee.
A similar incident was reported 30 minutes earlier at the intersection of Pine Island Road and W. Sunrise Boulevard in Plantation when someone crossing the street was attacked by a man armed with a hammer, police said. The description of the suspect in that case was similar, police said.
