Man Stabbed, Claimed He Harmed Family: Hollywood PD

A man found stabbed in the Hollywood Police parking lot Tuesday morning claimed he killed his family, but officials said no family members were harmed.

Police received a call just before 9 a.m. Tuesday from the man saying he was in the Hollywood Police parking lot at 3250 Hollywood Boulevard, officials said.

The man, later identified as Inti Correa, told officers he had harmed his family.

Responding officers found Correa with a stab wound to his chest.

"They just observed a man with bloody hands, a bloody T-shirt, with a knife sticking out of his chest," police spokesman Anthony Gomez said.

Correa was transported to Hollywood Memorial Regional Hospital where his condition was not immediately known.

Police reached Correa's family in Florida and New York and discovered everyone was OK, Gomez said.

"Detectives have made contact with the family members and were able to establish that no one else was hurt," Gomez said.

It was unknown why he made the claim or how he was stabbed. The incident remains under investigation.

"We don't know why he chose the Hollywood Police Department parking lot, or why he made those threats," Gomez said.
