A woman and her adult son were stabbed to death by a man who then turned the knife on himself inside a West Miami-Dade home Wednesday night, police said.
The gruesome attack happened around 7 p.m. at the home on the 13000 block of Southwest 58th Terrace, when the mother and her son were stabbed by the unidentified man.
A third person, the woman's teenage daughter, was also attacked but was able to escape with non-life threatening injuries. She was taken to Miami Children's Hospital in stable condition.
The woman and son were pronounced dead at the scene.
The attacker was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition after police say he slashed himself after the attack.
Detectives are still trying to determine the relationship between the victims and the attacker as well as a motive.
