Police work is generally a hard, thankless job, especially in Miami-Dade, where crime abounds.

But Sunday night, one man made officers' jobs a bit easier when he drove to a police station, turned himself in and told the cops there was a dead body in his car.

That man, Juan Carlos Portieles, is better known on the Miami music scene as DJ Seasunz, according to the Miami New Times.

Portieles, according to the police report, walked into the Midwest District station at 9105 NW 25th St. shortly after 7 p.m. and told officers there was a body in the back of his Toyota Camry in the parking lot.

Cops ran out to the car and indeed found a dead body of 18-year-old Jaclyn Torrealba, who is believed to be Portieles' girlfriend the past two years. The 30-year-old DJ was placed under arrest and is currently charged with second-degree murder.

Torrealba's father confirmed his daughter's death at the hands of DJ Seasunz on her Facebook page, CBSnews reports. The FIU student was last seen at Space night club around 2 a.m.

Miami-Dade police are still investigating the incident, but the arrest affidavit paints a picture of what might have happened.

Portieles and Torrealba apparently got into an argument Sunday that escalated into a fight where Portieles allegedly "began to beat and bite the victim repeatedly and she fought back," according to the arrest report.

Portieles then choked Torrealba until she passed out and drove around with her body in his car to different people to tell them what happened.

His last stop was the Miami-Dade police station.
