Days after video of a shark being dragged behind a speeding boat gained national attention, officials believe one of the men connected to the incident might be featured in a new video, according to NBC affiliate WFLA.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has opened a new investigation, the report says, after a different video reveals a man using a hammerhead shark as a beer bong.
The video shows a group laughing while a man drinks beer under the shark’s body.
An FWC spokesman confirmed to WFLA that the department is looking into whether the new video is related to a man in the shark dragging incident.
The man has gained a reputation for taking troubling pictures with animals, according to the report.
One activist who didn’t want to be identified told WFLA that the incidents should be alarming.
“It’s a classic pattern that leads to more abuse,” she said. “What else are they doing? What else are you doing that is harming the environment that you think is funny?”
