Police are searching for a thief who was caught on camera using a stun gun during a robbery at a Doral quick mart.
The robbery happened Monday night at the Brazil Mart at 7800 Northwest 25th Street, Doral Police said.
According to police, the man entered the store at closing time and said he wanted to buy a soda. But after he walked to the refrigerators near the register, the man tried to grab the store's money bag from the clerk then used a stun gun to shock her and steal her purse, police said.
Surveillance video showed the clerk, 60-year-old Nadijamara Ramia, chase the thief outside the store. She suffered bruising on her arms.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
