The Miami-Dade Police Department has released surveillance video of a robbery suspect, in hopes someone can help identify him.
Investigators said the man robbed a dollar store, located in the 28000 block of South Dixie Highway in Southwest Miami-Dade, and assaulted the female clerk.
The incident happened at the Dollar and More Store on Aug. 30.
The suspect allegedly demanded the woman to open the register. He then struck her, dragged her to a storage room and pushed her in there violently.
Detectives said the man then returned to the front counter but was unable to take any money from the register. He was caught on video walking out of the store with a basket filled with boxes of cigarettes.
He was described as a black male in his 30's, approximately 5'10" with a thin build.
