A man is wanted in the killing of a woman whose body was discovered after a SWAT team responded to a Fort Lauderdale home last week, police said Thursday.
Thomas Smith, 52, is a suspect in the murder of 34-year-old Jennifer Silva, whose body was found in a home in the 800 block of Southwest 4th Street on Nov. 28, Fort Lauderdale Police officials said.
Police said the SWAT team responded to the home after they were made aware of a possible body inside and found Silva. The cause of death hasn't been released.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Smith, who is a resident of Fort Lauderdale, police said. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
