A new street drug with bizarre and frightening effects is making headlines again, this time in Melbourne.
According to WESH.com, police said Kenneth Crowder, 41, was using the substance called “flakka” as he went on a rampage through a neighborhood in Melbourne Friday.
Witnesses told WESH the man attacked police with what appeared to be superhuman strength.
“I was scared to death,” Sandy Davenport said.
Davenport and other witnesses said Crowder was screaming around their neighborhood and trying to break into cars.
“There's a man over there and he's screaming and he's doing this like a bird. And he's screaming, just keeps doing it. And he said, ‘I am God!’” Sally said.
"You don't claim that you're God. You don't try to have sex with trees.” Amanda Davenport said.

Police said Crowder did not become hostile until officers arrived. They said he approached an officer aggressively so the officer drew a stun gun.
“And so he tasered him one time, and the guy had superhuman strength,” Amanda said.
“He gets back up and he's pulling the stuff out of his chest area and the police officer tases him again,” Sally said.
Police said Crowder also tried to stab an officer with the pin from the officer's badge.
“He picked him up, slammed him, threw him - the guy did that to the police,” Amanda said.
Police say flakka has an active ingredient that was not banned when other bath salt ingredients were outlawed.
Police were able to arrest Crowder and charge him with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer.
