A man's body was discovered in a canal in Lauderdale Lakes Monday morning, and authorities believe it may be related to a car that went in the canal over the weekend.
The body was recovered just before 9 a.m. near the 3900 block of Northwest 31st Terrace, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.
Officials believe the body is related to Saturday's report of a car in the canal that was received around 4 a.m. BSO divers had responded but no occupants were found.
Investigators are working to identify the man and determine how the car ended up in the canal.
