The traffic during Art Basel Miami Beach is notoriously bad, but this year the cities of Miami Beach and Miami have teamed up to offer free trolley services for everyone who wants to see the art.
A direct service between Midtown Miami, where the arts district resides, to the Miami Beach Convention Center, which is the Art Basel hub will be offered from Dec. 4 through Dec. 8 between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. On Sunday it stops at 8 p.m. The trolleys will leave every hour on the hour.
The two shuttles will either use the Julia Tuttle Causeway or the Venetian, depending on the traffic. The stops will be at Midtown Boulevard and 29th Street in Miami and Washington Ave. in front of the Fillmore at the Jackie Gleason Theater in South Beach.
There is are also trolleys to give transportation to fairs in Midtown Miami, Wynwood and Downtown Miami. Here is a map of the shuttle stops:
