Marlins Release 2019 Regular Season Schedule

The Marlins released their regular season schedule for the 2019 season on Wednesday

The Miami Marlins unveiled their schedule for the 2019 regular season on Wednesday.

Miami's next season is set to begin at home against the Colorado Rockies on March 28th. The four-game series will be followed by three games at Marlins Park against the New York Mets.

After going out on the road for a week, Miami will return home for another nine games. The Marlins will play 16 of their first 22 games of the season at Marlins Park. Miami's early-season opponents will include the Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Nationals. The April 12-21 homestand will be Miami's longest stretch at home of the entire season.

After playing the American League East in 2018, Miami will take on another division in 2019. The Cleveland Indians, Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals will all visit Miami next season. The Marlins will travel to take on the Indians once more, as well as the Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox.

The Marlins will host the Tampa Bay Rays on May 14-15, before finishing up the annual Citrus Series at Tropicana Field in early August for another pair of games.

The 2019 season will finish with a seven game road-trip in New York and Philadelphia. The Marlins will play 13 of their final 16 games away from Miami. Those games will come against some of the current title-contenders, which should give the Marlins a chance to have a say in the playoff race.
