A massage therapist was arrested after he allegedly sexually battered a woman at a Coral Gables spa.

David Egusquiza, 34, was arrested Sunday on a sexual battery charge, according to an arrest report. He was booked into jail and later released on $7,500 bond, records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.

According to the arrest report, the victim was receiving a massage from Egusquiza at a Massage Envy on Miracle Mile. She had received two previous massages from Egusquiza who she personally knew, the report said.

During the massage, Egusquiza sexually battered the woman against her will, the report said. She immediately told him to stop and he apologized, then asked her to keep the battery a secret, the report said.

The victim told her mother what had happened, and they later went to police, the report said. Egusquiza responded to the police station voluntarily but refused to make any statements to detectives, the report said.
