Child Saves Family After Massive AM Fire Engulfs Cars Outside Miami Gardens Home

A massive early morning fire outside of a Miami Gardens home engulfed two cars located outside the structure, but fortunately no one was hurt.

Crews arrived at the home neat Northwest 27th Avenue and 169th Terrace shortly after 3 a.m. and were able to put out the fire before it could spread to the home and cause damage.

Residents of the home told NBC 6 that the fire started inside a Chevrolet Silverado truck and spread to a Chrysler minivan next to it. The family was alerted of the blaze when a six year old girl saw the flames outside of her window and ran for help.

One of the home’s windows was shattered in the fire. Officials have not released additional details about what caused the fire to start.
