Hialeah Police are asking for the public's help in looking for two men who tied up a maid while they committed a home robbery.

Marta Lugo showed up at her cleaning job only to find two men wearing ski masks robbing the home.

"When I went inside, I walked about four steps and then I heard some noise," said Lugo. "I thought it was the daughter. Then came out the two men, where they grabbed me and told me to lie down on the floor."

The two men stealing from the home startled the maid.

"When I saw them, I was in shock," Lugo said. "I even started trembling."

In a bold act, the men did not run, but instead tied up Lugo with a man's necktie and went back to doing their crime.

"She has two men ransacking the place," said Eddie Rodriguez of Hialeah Police. "They are wearing masks – yellow like construction workers. They immediately grab the victim and continue ransacking the home."

Lugo told detectives the men eventually took what they wanted and then returned to where they left Lugo. She says they told her to remain still for 20 minutes until she could get up.

Lugo was shaken up after the ordeal but was not harmed.

"Fortunately, she was not injured," Rodriguez said. "Now what we can do is use the public’s help in finding out who these people are."

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
