Armed Men Sought in Miami Beach Carjacking

Miami Beach police are looking for three armed men who they say carjacked a rented BMW from the parking lot of a Walgreens early Tuesday morning.

Three men with guns approached a couple sitting inside the white BMW near Collins Avenue and 67th Street and ordered the couple to get out and to leave their property inside the vehicle, police said.

At one point, one of the suspects held a gun to the female victim's head, and the male victim was struck in the face when he was reluctant to give up his key fob to another vehicle, police said.

The suspects drove away west on 67th Street toward Indian Creek Drive. Police briefly chased the men on Interstate 95 before they lost them around NW 103rd Street.

"To be honest, it’s kind of hair raising," said Jose Cisneros, who was at the Walgreens at the time of the incident. "It does hit close to home, but every city comes with its bad parts so you always have to be aware."

Police have not released any descriptions of the three men.
