Miami Beach Barber Accused of Dealing Drugs During Haircuts

A Miami Beach barber was arrested after police say he was dealing drugs while giving haircuts.

Rafy Alberto Rodriguez, 36, was arrested Monday on multiple charges including cocaine trafficking and possession of cocaine, ecstasy, LSD and marijuana, According to a Miami Beach Police arrest report.

According to the report, undercover detectives met Rodriguez last month at the La Vaina Barber Shop at 6634 Collins Avenue, where he sold them marijuana, cocaine and other drugs during haircuts.

During one encounter, one of the detectives told Rodriguez he was going to a hotel for an Ultra Music Festival party.

"I have ecstasy, coke and weed if you need some," Rodriguez told the detective, according to the report.

After selling drugs to undercover detectives on multiple occasions, Rodriguez was taken into custody Monday night, the report said. Officers served search warrants at the barber shop and two apartments Monday night as part of the investigation, officials said.

Rodriguez was being held on more than $115,000 bond Tuesday, jail records showed. Attorney information wasn't available.
