Miami Beach Murder Suspect Rips Equipment Off Wall in Police Video

A man accused of a brutal murder at a Miami Beach condo is seen ripping equipment off the wall at a police station in an interrogation video obtained exclusively by NBC 6.

Jonathan Alonso, 30, is charged with murder and remains behind bars without bond. Police say Alonso stabbed and killed 61-year-old Louis Piper inside the luxury Miami Beach apartment that they shared together back in April.

The video shows Alonso after he was taken into police custody erupting at the police station. Alonso, handcuffed to a chair, babbles incoherently and curses before ripping out a surveillance camera. Officers then come into the room and take him into custody.

There was an all out search to find Alonso when Piper ended up dead inside their apartment. Court records showed that there was a history of domestic violence between the couple.

Police believe Alonso stabbed Piper and for several days walked around Miami Beach like nothing happened. Surveillance video showed him heading out and walking the dog after Piper was no longer alive.

Officers finally found Alonso at a park when he was yelling at some people on a yacht.

After his arrest in April, Alonso made a bizarre appearance in bond court.

"I'm selfless and I'm God's will," Alonso told a judge during the hearing. "You're the ones being watched and being persecuted, you got that."

Alonso has pleaded not guilty. He is due back in court later this month.
