A final vote on David Beckham's proposed soccer stadium was postponed once again.
City of Miami commissioners agreed unanimously on Tuesday that the outlines of a deal on the $1 billion Miami Freedom Park was not enough to move forward.
City leaders said the appraised value of the land at the city-owned Melreese Golf Course was still unknown, as well as the cost of the clean-up for redevelopment.
The decision did not come to a surprise for businessman and co-owner of Inter Miami, Jorge Mas, who is still waiting on an environmental study to be done to come up with the terms of a lease.
Negotiations will continue, but an agreement isn't expected by the end of the year.
Mas and his team hopes to have a deal in place by late January if the stadium is to open come 2022.
The vote was first postponed back in late October after Commissioner Manolo Reyes suffered an accident.

Meanwhile, construction is underway at the site of Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, where the MLS franchise will play its first seasons starting in 2020.
